Each year social landlords need to tell the Scottish Housing Regulator if they comply with regulatory and legal requirements. They do this by submitting an Annual Assurance Statement.
Clydesdale Housing Association has just submitted its Annual Assurance Statement for 2025 confirming that we comply with all of these requirements.
To arrive at this conclusion members of our Management Committee and senior staff completed a self-assessment exercise that examined our policies and activities, comparing them to the required standards. Our approach was informed by relevant good practice advice and sector guidance to provide us with assurance that our approach is effective and robust. We also obtained external support to provide us with additional assurance that our approach is effective and robust. The Management Committee of Clydesdale had full oversight and input into the process.
More specifically, we have concluded that Clydesdale:
- achieves all of the standards and outcomes in the Scottish Social Housing Charter for tenants, people who are homeless and others who use our services;
- complies with our legal obligations relating to housing and homelessness, equality and human rights;
- meets all duties in relation to the following tenant and resident safety areas:
- Gas safety
- Electrical safety
- Water safety
- Fire safety
- Asbestos
- Damp and mould;

- has appropriate systems in place for the collection of equalities data and using this data to take account of equality and human rights issues in our decisions, policy-making and day-to-day service delivery;
- complies with the Scottish Housing Regulator’s Standards of Governance and Financial Management for Registered Social Landlords.
We are committed to notifying the Scottish Housing Regulator of any changes in our compliance during the course of the year and are assured that we have effective arrangements in place to enable us to do so.
