Clydesdale Housing Association

Tenant Participation

The Association considers the participation and feedback obtained from tenants and other service users as a vital part of improving the services and accommodation we provide.  We continue to look for new ways to involve customers in our work - methods used in recent years include:

  • Annual Tenant Conferences
  • Customer Focus Groups
  • Telephone Surveys
  • Questionnaires
  • Comprehensive Tenant Satisfaction Surveys
  • Postal Consultation Events
  • Local Resident Meetings to discuss local issues
  • Meetings with Registered Tenant Organisations

2005 Tenant Conference

2009 Tenant Conference Report

The 2009 Tenant Conference held at the New Lanark Mill Hotel on 2 September was well attended by 45 tenants and residents.

The Conference theme was Clydesdale's approach to service excellence.

Following a presentation from Joe Gorman, Chief Executive on the Association's service achievements delegates participated in workshop discussions which focused on 'What Really Matters to Tenants?'

Results from the workshops were shared at a feedback session at which high levels of service satisfaction were reported.  Areas for improvement identified by tenants included landscape maintenance, the need to provide more specification information to tenants prior to contract works starting and the idea of involving tenants in contract quality control.

The Clydesdale Tenants' & Residents' Group held their third AGM at the end of the Conference.  The Group's Chairperson, Jeanette Arneil provided a report on their activities to date and on objectives for the year ahead.

Many Conference participants used the free transport provided by Clydesdale and children were placed in the free creche provided.

The 2010 Tenant Conference will be held on Wednesday 1st September 2010 at 7.00pm - venue to be announced.  Tenants should contact us to arrange free transport and children's creche places.

Tenant Participation Strategy Review

Our Strategy for involving tenants and other service users in the activities of the organisation was reviewed in April 2009.

We consulted with our Registered Tenants' Organisations before finalising the review process.  A copy of the 2009/10 Tenant Participation Strategy is available below.  If you wish to become more involved in the Association please contact us.
