Clydesdale sets rents that take account of:
The Association develops a draft budget and rent setting proposals and consults with tenants and shared owners on the rent increases planned for that period. The consultation period runs for at least 6 weeks and involves:
Our Management Committee then meets to consider the feedback obtained from tenants before agreeing the final budget and rent increases.
In 2005 we developed a 5 Year Service Plan with tenants that sets out what service standards tenants can expect to receive from Clydesdale and, in return, the level of rent increases that will be required over that period to fund those services. Rent increases over 2008/9 represented the 3rd year of those proposals.
Proposals for our 2009/10 rents are currently the subject of tenant consultation.
