About Us

Our Committee

We are managed by a voluntary Management Committee that is elected each year at our Annual General Meeting. The Management Committee is responsible for the proper and effective running of the Association. The Management Committee appoints professional housing staff to deliver services.

With up to a maximum of 15 members permitted, the Management Committee is responsible for: determining strategy and priorities; ensuring proper financial control and risk management; appointing staff; monitoring performance and agreeing policy; exercising control over the Association's activities and ensuring that we operate in accordance with the law, codes of practice, professional standards and Communities Scotland guidance.

Our Committee currently consists of local people that live in the Clydesdale area - four of which are tenants of the Association.  Clydesdale also reserves a place on its Committee for a representative of the Clydesdale Tenants' & Residents' Group.

We continue to encourage tenants to become involved in running the Association through becoming a Management Committee Member, taking up membership of the Association, participation in focus groups and other consultation events, attending our AGM & Tenant Conference and responding to our service surveys.

We currently have 4 Management Committee vacancies which we would like to fill and would encourage interest from anyone who feels that they have something positive to contribute to our work.  We would partcularly like to encourage more women, younger people and tenants of the Association to join us in order to help us reflect the community we serve. New Management Committee members undergo an induction that includes free training and support. Management Committee members are reimbursed for out of pocket expenses incurred as a result of their work for the Association such as travelling costs and childcare or carer services.
